Translate Manga to English Online with AI

Translate manga to English from raw Japanese pages, Korean manhwa or Chinese manhua. Add page images or a whole CBZ chapter, and the AI reads the text, erases it and letters English back into the same bubbles.

Long, confidently detected text outside bubbles may still be translated.

How to translate manga to English in 3 steps

Whichever upload you choose, the steps to translate manga to English stay the same. You sign in before the first page runs, and the cost is shown before you start.

  1. 01

    Add your raw pages

Drop up to 20 PNG, JPG, JPEG or WebP pages, or one CBZ or ZIP chapter with up to 50 pages. Number your files so page 2 comes before page 10.

  2. 02

Keep English as the reading language

English is already selected. Turn on speech bubbles only to focus on dialogue, though long, clearly detected text outside bubbles may still be translated. Set the font and minimum text size before you start.

  3. 03

    Translate, compare and save

Each page costs 1 credit. Compare the result with the original, retry any page that failed, then save page images or export the finished chapter.

How to translate raw manga to English

A raw is a manga page with its original lettering and no translation. To translate raw manga to English well, start with the cleanest copy you have: the full page rather than a cropped bubble, a size where small dialogue is readable, and no reader toolbar covering the art. You do not need to mark the bubbles, because speech bubbles and captions are detected for you.

Most chapters that come back shuffled were out of order before they were uploaded. Rename files with leading zeros, such as 001, 002 and 010, before you add them. The image queue runs pages in the order shown, and a CBZ or ZIP chapter sorts numbered files so page 2 stays ahead of page 10. Translate one representative page first; if the English works there, run the chapter.

Translate manhwa, manhua and Japanese manga to English

You do not choose a source language. Japanese, Korean and Chinese pages are detected automatically, so the same upload can translate manga to English, translate manhwa from Korean, or handle manhua in Simplified or Traditional Chinese.

Each source has its own problems. Japanese has vertical text and furigana, Korean has honorifics and long webtoon strips, and Chinese has cultivation terms that change meaning with context. The language guides linked below cover those cases one at a time. If your manhwa sits on a website rather than in a file, the browser extension translates the images while you read.

Download translated manga pages as images, CBZ or ZIP

This tool does not host or search for finished scans. To download translated manga here, you upload pages you are allowed to use and save the English result. Page images save one at a time or all at once from the queue. A chapter added as a CBZ or ZIP exports as one ordered CBZ or ZIP after every selected page succeeds, ready for a comic reader.

Translation runs on account credits, and saving results requires a purchased one-time credit pack. If a page fails, its credit is returned automatically, and you retry that page without paying again for the ones that finished.

What to check before you trust the English

Read the page against the art. Check that character names match from page to page, that small lettering and vertical dialogue were not skipped, and that sound effects still make sense. AI translation handles everyday dialogue far better than jokes, wordplay and lines that depend on earlier chapters.

Two limits are worth knowing before a long chapter. The result is a finished image, so individual lines cannot be edited afterwards, and there is no shared glossary to force the same spelling of a name across every page. If a name matters, check it on the first few pages before you run the rest.

AI manga translation vs English manga fan translation and Google Translate

People looking for an English manga fan translation usually want one thing: the next chapter in readable English. There are three common routes, and each one gives something up.

An official release or an active manga eng fan translation is still the better read when one exists, and buying the official edition supports the creators. AI fills the gap when nobody has translated the chapter you want.

Translate manga to English: common questions

Can I translate manga to English for free?

You can try it. Trial credits for new accounts depend on current account settings, so check your balance after signing in, and unpaid accounts also have a daily limit. Saving results requires a purchased credit pack, so this is not an unlimited free translator.

How do I read raw manga in English?

Add the raw pages here, keep English as the reading language and start the queue. You get back the same pages with English in the bubbles. If you are reading on a website, the browser extension translates images in place instead.

Can I translate a whole manga chapter at once?

Yes. Add up to 20 page images, or switch to the chapter tab and upload one CBZ or ZIP with up to 50 pages and 100 MB. Keep the tab open while it runs. Split longer volumes into chapters.

Can I translate manhwa and manhua to English here?

Yes. Korean and Chinese pages use the same tool as Japanese manga, and the source language is detected automatically. Long webtoon strips read better when cut into normal page lengths.

Can I use Google Translate (Google TL) to read manga in English?

For one line, yes. For a page, Google Translate tends to read vertical text and right-to-left bubbles in the wrong order, and it does not rebuild the lettering. A manga translator keeps the English inside each bubble so the page still reads like manga.

Is AI as good as an English fan translation?

Not yet for jokes, wordplay and long-running names, where a careful team has the edge. AI is useful when no translation exists or you do not want to wait, and it should be checked against the art.

Can I download translated manga from this site?

You can download pages you translate yourself, as images or as a CBZ or ZIP chapter, with a purchased credit pack. The site has no manga library. Only upload content you own or have permission to translate; translating a page does not give you the right to redistribute it.

Can I upload a PDF?

Not directly. Export the PDF pages as images, or package them as a CBZ or ZIP, and add those. CBR and EPUB need the same conversion first.
